Ease of Use
You don't really want to backup - backing up takes time, management, and effort - every single day. That's why most people don't do it. What you really want is to ensure your data and productivity are never lost.
Rebit eliminates doing backups, saving you time everyday, and gives you continuous and complete PC protection

Fully Automatic Backups
Rebit constantly monitors the PC for changes, and refreshes the backup without user interaction. |
|
User Triggered Backup Jobs
No backup occurs until the user inserts the USB drive, or presses the Backup button. If the user forgets and just leaves the drive connected, nothing happens. Advanced users can create and manage scheduled backups, but the PC must be left on and unused at the time - particularly problematic for laptops. |
Silent Backups
Rebit runs silently in the background all the time, with no user interaction ever required. Backups happen throughout the day and night, with no impact on the use of the computer. Even open files, such as Outlook email files, are backed up. |
|
User Review of Backups
Every time the user connects Clickfree, they must watch and monitor the backup process and understand whether it succeeded or not. While the backup is happening, the PC should not be used or open files will not be backed up. |
Complete System Backup
Rebit backs up every file on the system. The user makes no confusing decisions. |
|
User Selected Backup Set
Clickfree selects a set of files to back up based on their judgment of what is important. The user must understand and think about which files they should add or subtract from the backup. |
No User Interface
Unique among all backup software, Rebit is 100% integrated with Windows. To see whether a file is backed up or not, hover over it. To view the files on the backup disk, browse with Windows Explorer just like any other directory. To restore, simply use the familiar drag/drop, or copy/paste actions. |
|
Complicated User Interface
To inspect files and folders that have been backed up, Clickfree provides a proprietary interface the user must learn to use, and relearn after infrequent usage. To restore files from the Clickfree drive, the user must run a proprietary interface and navigate a complicated GUI to find the files to restore. |
No Manual
A simple, picture-driven 2-page Quick Start Guide show the user how to connect the Rebit drive, accept the license agreement, and relax while backups happen automatically. |
|
65 Page Manual
To learn how to use the complicated Clickfree software, users must study a 65-page manual. |
Protection
A backup is only as good as the data it copies.
Computer users have hours invested in application settings, passwords, driver and security updates, along with precious photos, music files, and other important information.
Rebit protects it all.

Complete Backup
Rebit backs up every file of every type on the computer, meaning users can recover from all manner of losses, from hard disk crashes, to virus corruption, to accidentally deleted files. |
|
Partial Backup
Clickfree can only backup certain, limited file categories and types, which they claim "saves space" and "protects the important data." Only after a catastrophic loss does the user realize that Clickfree is only a partial backup. |
Continuous Protection
Rebit is continuously monitoring changes made, either new files or new versions, and backing them up immediately - typically within minutes. |
|
Backups Depend on User Action
Clickfree only backs up when the user triggers a backup. If the user goes a week between backups, and a recovery is needed, the recently created files are lost forever. |
Easy, Complete Recovery
Rebit users restore their entire computer by simply dragging and dropping their backup from the Rebit device to the new internal hard drive. |
|
Painful, Partial Recovery
In the event of a PC disk crash, the user must find and use the original installation CD's, plus apply all downloaded updates, to rebuild the operating system, application and settings. Finally, the Clickfree backup can be used to recover the user data that was last backed up. (Data created since the last user-triggered backup is lost) |
Easy Migration
If a new computer is purchased, the folders and files on the Rebit drive can be browsed with Explorer, and will be located exactly as they were on the old computer. A simple drag/drop or copy/paste moves them to the new computer. |
|
Difficult Migration
The user must navigate the complicated and proprietary Clickfree browsing interface, and run the "Restore Wizard" to migrate the files to the new computer. |
